Remark The access to the spot is via a road with alternate traffic. Every half hour, the traffic is allowed from Weesen to Betlis (i.e. to the dive site) from :00 to :05 and from :30 to :35, and from Betlis to Weesen (i.e. from the dive site) from :15 to :20 and from :45 to :50. The road and tunnels are very narrow, thus limiting the height and width of the vehicles to maximum 2m. Many walkers also take this route; so try not to hit too many of them...

Parking & attendance There are 15-20 parking spaces (parking meter 24/7), but the site can get busy, especially in summer and during the weekend.

Entrance / Exit From the parking lot, walk along the shore to the boat landing stage of Stralegg. When it is warm you are going to sweat a little bit... The good news is that from there you will dive all the way back to the parking lot.

Description Start diving diagonally towards the parking lot. Follow the wall that starts at ca. 25 m and goes down to 40 m. Once you reach the end of the wall, follow the slitty ground back towards the cove right in front of the parking (requires a little bit of sense of direction to find the exit on the first try). The dive lasts 45-60 minutes.

Toilets Yes, but closed during the cold months. A tree, a shrub, or a bush will then have to do the trick.

Eat / Drink During the warmer months the restaurant Burg-Strahlegg (closed on Thursday and Friday) above the parking lot offers a very nice environement to relax after the dive. Otherwise there is the restaurant Flyhof in Weesen.

Emergency phone number 144 (and tell them that it is a diving accident and that the Rega should be informed)
